Annie, Spence and I will be on the road in less than three weeks. For a number of reasons, we have decided to take the Family/Rainbow Truck (a 1990 GMC Sierra pick-up truck) to the Choza as a second Choza car. Spence is still down in Argentina, but Annie and I had some time yesterday to brainstorm on the outside Rainbow Mansion white board.

Some Goals of the trip:
- Get to Costa Rica
- Have fun; enjoy the Journey
- Eat Delicious Food
- Scuba
- Indigenous Culture (markets, history, crafts, food, community
- Camp
- Transport tools to the Choza
- Surf
So far, we haven’t nailed down the major desitinations, but here is our current list
- Oaxaxa, Mexico
- Granada, Nicaragua
Also, we are looking for a place to stop for a few days for the following:
- Surf – Beginning level [most likely on the Pacific Coast of Mexico] 2-3 days
- Scuba – Get certified (Annie and Spence) + Advanced (Robbie) [most likely on the Caribbean in Honduras] 3-5 days
We are planning on leaving on May 2, and want to get to San Jose, Costa Rica by May 20. I am flying up from San Jose to New York to meet up with the SpaceGen crew for Andrew Hoppin’s wedding on May 21! Please let us know if you have any experience with the overland adventure or if you know of some good destinations to visit!
Let me know if you want to stop over in Vegas! It’s about 10 hours from Cupertino. Would be happy to host you along the way during your journey.
Cheri – Will do! Thanks for the invite!
Try couch surfing…..easy all over the Americas and great fun
